Our valued partner QTS exhibited at the BSA Annual Conference at the Harrogate International Centre on the 8th and 9th of May. The conference played host to over 500 delegates from building societies across the UK and is the industry’s biggest annual event.
QTS is the market-leading supplier of online and mobile banking systems to the UK’s building societies, with their Q-Point product suite in use by around 50% of BSA members. Q-Point covers a range of modules from account management, savings and mortgages to mobile banking and intermediary management.
QTS exhibited on two stands this year. One was used to present the flagship Q-Point product suite, while the other showcased their consultancy offering, including our Business Intelligence solution CXAIR. QTS integrate CXAIR with Q-Point to provide clients with a quick to implement, inexpensive, end-user friendly alternative to traditional legacy Business Intelligence.
As part of our continued commitment to supporting our partners, two Connexica employees, Greg Richards (Business Development Manager) and Max Hogg (Principle Software Engineer) attended and managed the stand. This gave them a great opportunity to explain the functionality of CXAIR and provide interactive demos to delegates throughout the two days. The event was extremely productive and delegates were keen to express what they liked about CXAIR, particularly:
- Being search-engine based and the speed of search through data
- Sits across any database, which includes files such as Excel.
- Venn diagram functionality
- Indexes any number of data sources
- Easy to use and well-presented interface
- Scheduled reporting
- Pricing is inexpensive
- Implementation time
The BSA Annual Conference, organised by the Building Societies Association is the biggest event of the year within the industry and represents mutual lenders and deposit takers around the UK including all of the UK’s building societies. Some of the biggest global names within the financial industry had a presence at the event, with key decision-makers attending from Credit Suisse, KPMG, Deloitte LLP and many more.
The main theme of the conference theme was “Growth, Recovery and Change” which is directly associated with the mortgage, savings and housing markets that have been in deep recession for the last five years. The conference covered a wide range of newly established practices that will help building societies adapt and learn from the lessons from outside the sector, in particular the development of new products in difficult times.
