This week saw Stafford based software company Connexica welcome local MP Jeremy Lefroy to celebrate their most successful year to date – just one year after expanding into their own building on the Stafford Technology Park.
The past eighteen months has seen Connexica double in size thanks to increased demand for their business analytics solution CXAIR. Now with a work force of almost thirty Connexica plan to continue this rate of recruitment for the foreseeable future.
Connexica have recently been praised by Staffordshire University Vice- Chancellor Michael Gunn for their focus on developing local talent which has seen Connexica employ a significant number of Staffordshire-based graduates.
One of the contributors to the growth of Connexica has been a number of new contract awards within the health and care sectors. This includes their most valuable contract to date – worth just over £1 million.
Local MP Mr Lefroy took particular interest in the recent contract wins due to his ongoing involvement in the health sector:
Mr Lefroy spoke of his visit to Connexica:
“It is very pleasing to see the success of Connexica and the number of extra jobs created by the company in Stafford in the past year. Stafford is seeing very strong growth in the IT sector with several local businesses expanding rapidly. One of my election pledges was to see Stafford become a regional tech hub and the work of Connexica and other local IT businesses will be at the heart of this.”
Due to the success of Connexica in the health and care sector this September sees the company hold their first health sector event alongside their annual CXAIR user event at local venue Weston Hall.
Sales and Marketing Director Greg Richards says of the developments:
“We are delighted to welcome Jeremy to our offices and show the continued growth and progress of Connexica. Connexica have been based in Stafford since our inception and we are delighted to hear of the plans to develop the technology sector in the region. We look forward to working with Jeremy and other local IT businesses around this initiative”
