Connexica are pleased to announce that they will now be working with Haddleton Legal to help customers prepare, plan and implement the processes and controls needed for the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This exciting new partnership will see the two organisations combine their expertise across the Legal and IT sectors. Haddleton Legal provide the legal knowledge and industry experience to ensure GDPR compliance, whilst Connexica provide their IT knowledge and industry leading search powered data discovery platform, CXAIR, to help attain and maintain compliance.
Connexica’s GDPR data discovery solution has been designed to help organisations discover, catalogue and organise all data assets into a single data inventory. This inventory can be used to both attain GDPR compliance prior to the GDPR deadline and maintain compliance post May 25th, 2018.
The partnership will provide customers with the legal and technical expertise needed to navigate this new regulation and ensure compliance.
James Haddleton founder and director of Haddleton Legal and Gary Luke, MD of Connexica commented:
“We are delighted to be working together for the benefit of clients as they prepare for GDPR. Given our extensive IT and legal capabilities as well as our practical experience of data protection implementation, we are ideally placed to provide effective support to organisations. Taking steps now will help organisations mitigate their exposure to the penalties under GDPR (which are up to 4% of company turnover worldwide).”
The new GDPR is an EU-wide regulation that builds on the Data Protection Act with key additions regarding to the rights of data subjects and what data is considered ‘personal data’. Organisations have to be compliant by May 25th 2018 – else facing fines of either €20,000,000 or 4% of annual worldwide turnover.
