The conference played host to over 500 delegates from building societies across the UK and is the industry’s biggest annual event.

Connexica sponsors team in Scan Covery Trial 2013

Stafford, United Kingdom, 8th January 2013 — Connexica, in collaboration with its Dutch partner Systemation have sponsored Team American Power (Team34) as they prepare to do battle with the incredibly harsh conditions that the Scan Covery Trial intends to throw at them.

With temperatures set to drop to minus 40°C and teams scheduled to drive over 7000 kilometres ploughing through snow and ice, it is safe to say that teams competing must make sure their cars are extremely durable.

Connexica hosts its first ever CXAIR Conference!

On Friday 12th October Connexica hosted its first ever CXAIR Conference at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. The museum, situated just off the M42 and located next to Birmingham International Airport was the prime location for delegates to travel to. The museum itself boasts the world’s largest collection of British motorcycles, which covers over a century of motorcycle manufacturing.

Connexica and 848 Team Up to Put CXAIR in the Cloud

Stafford, United Kingdom, 20th October 2011 — Leading cloud computing vendors, the 848 Group have signed an agreement to integrate Connexica’s Business Intelligence application, CXAIR, into its growing portfolio of cloud solutions.

Through the partnership, the 848 Group will provide implementation, support and consultancy for CXAIR within the cloud, alongside their existing communication, collaboration, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.

CXAIR from Connexica (which was previously Ardentia Search) is a BI tool specifically designed to support queries that span both structured and unstructured data, though it can equally well handle either one or the other on its own. It uses indexing (as in search-based indexing not database indexing) to extract structure from text, spreadsheets and so on and to support queries against that structure.

BI for hybrid (big) data

Most companies exploring the use of big data for business intelligence purposes do not simply want to analyse unstructured data, they also want to combine the results of that analysis with relevant structured data. They want their analytics to span all sorts of data, which we may refer to as hybrid data.

Business intelligence (BI) technology holds out much promise, but experience would tend to indicate that it can be difficult to use, requiring specialist skill and imposing considerable latency between need and information delivery. Connexica addresses these issues for many business needs and the ease-of-use has to be seen to be appreciated. Connexica offers something very different to the traditional and often arcane BI toolset.
